Covid-19 Important Information

Thank you so much to all of you who have been in touch with me over the past few months to show your support and to check how we were doing. This meant a lot to me. I hope that you and your families have stayed well throughout the lockdown period.

GOOD NEWS... We are now in a position to reopen the clinic to existing patients however there are criteria to meet to ensure safety. Please read carefully to familiarise yourself with the new procedures we have implemented as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

It is very important to us that the clinic remains a relaxing and therapeutic environment however it is also very important that we do everything we can to safeguard against infection.

The measurements we are putting in place ensure that our clinic is COVID-19 Secure.

Appointment times will be staggered to allow 15 minutes in between each appointment. This will ensure that people do not use entry and exit points at the same time and allow time to clean the treatment room and all door handles in between each client. For this reason we ask that you do not arrive early for your appointment.

We have designated one toilet as staff only and one for patients and you will find hand sanitisers at regular intervals throughout the clinic space.

The British Acupuncture Council have set out specific criteria for a phased return to normal practice. On the 6th July we were notified that we are now moving from phase 3 into phase 2.

In order to receive treatment, you must be able to meet all of the criteria below. If you are able to do this you can either contact me directly or book an appointment online. Any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch.

Clinic Procedures during your appointment

BEFORE your appointment

Please read through the screening criteria again to ensure that you are not at risk of covid-19. You will be asked to sign a consent form when you arrive at clinic.

This form can be found here and can be printed and completed before your appointment should you wish to use your own pen etc.

Please ensure that you arrive at the time of your appointment and not before.  Where possible doors will be left open to avoid the need to contact door handles, however please use your elbow if you do need to open doors or ask for assistance on your arrival.

Before entering the treatment room, please wash your hands in the bathroom designated for clients. You will find disposable paper hand towels for drying your hands and hand sanitiser gel also.

You should bring a mask with you or one can be provided in clinic.

All soft fabrics have been removed and replaced with wipeable coverings including the pillow cases. No towels or blankets will be used during treatments instead we will be using disposable towels and all hand washing will be done with paper towels. You are welcome to bring your own towel should you wish.

During the consultation we will maintain 2 metres social distancing.  You will be provided with a plastic box to put your belongings in whilst you receive your treatment.

During the treatment itself it will not be possible to maintain the 2 metres social distancing, therefore I will be wearing a mask, visor and rubber gloves for our protection. I will remove myself from the room whilst you relax and your will be provided with a bell to press for assistance.

We encourage the use of contactless where possible as the limit has been increased to £45.

Cash will still be acceptable for those who do not have contactless or cards.
