Hi, I’m Lindsay.

I fell in love with Traditional Chinese Medicine when I saw how much wisdom and knowledge it held. Nowadays, we have the belief that the older something is, the more outdated it is, but Traditional Chinese Medicine has been tried and tested for thousands of years and has brought great relief to so many people.

At Halo Clinic, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to provide a comprehensive range of treatments to my patients. With my extensive training in various acupuncture techniques, including Traditional Chinese Medicine, Five Element Theory, Japanese Acupuncture, Paediatric Acupuncture, and Dr Tan's Balance Method, I am able to tailor each session to meet the unique needs of my clients. Furthermore, I am not only a trained Medical Aromatherapist and Naturopathic Nutrition Practitioner, but I also have the privilege of teaching Chinese Medicinal Nutrition at the highly respected Northern College of Acupuncture. Rest assured, when you choose to work with me, you are receiving care from a dedicated professional with a diverse set of skills and a genuine passion for holistic healing.

I also work as Supervisor in the Teaching Clinic at the Northern College of Acupuncture and I am a registered member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), the General Naturopathic Council (GNC), and the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners (ANP).

"When ‘I’ is replaced with ‘We’
even ‘Illness’ becomes ‘Wellness’"

My Story

I discovered the benefits of acupuncture following a short spell of ill health. I was diagnosed with endometriosis and underwent surgery, but soon after, I suffered a series of heartbreaking miscarriages. Each miscarriage came at different stages in our pregnancies and appeared to have a different cause. Understandably, I was exhausted and began to wonder if we would ever be able to have children at all, but we never lost hope.

I had started to have acupuncture and it was not only benefitting my physical health, but also my mental & emotional well-being and I was beginning to see the body in a whole new light. This gave me the nudge I needed to make the life-changing decision to leave my corporate job & return to university to study Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine. It wasn’t long into my course that I fell pregnant again and this time it was successful, and we now have two beautiful children!

Acupuncture benefitted my health in multiple ways, it was instrumental in my recovery after the miscarriages and helped me to prepare my body and mind to try and conceive again. During my pregnancies regular acupuncture treatments helped me through hyperemesis gravidarum and post-natal anxiety with my second child and moxibustion helped to turn both babies when they were breech. I managed both births without pain relief largely due to the combination of hypnobirthing and acupressure on points to help me relax during the contractions.

Now I have my children, they have become my greatest teachers & inspiration, making it more important than ever to manage their health as naturally as possible. This was the reason I chose to learn Paediatric Acupuncture and Nutritional Therapy. The additional knowledge I have gained has helped me to understand my children from a whole new perspective and to make more informed decisions about their health.
